Adina Bar-Shalom, founder of the Haredi College and daughter of former chief rabbi and Shas spiritual founder Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, is seriously weighing running for the next Knesset, she said Monday.
The 2014 Israel Prize winner told the Knesset Channel that she was approached by several parties in the past, but has yet to decide in what framework she will run.
Bar-Shalom said she wants to enter politics to stop the Council for Higher Education from obstructing the Haredi College. Should it cease to do so, she would continue to run the institution.
