Public transportation will continue to stop on Shabbat in most of Israel, after the Ministerial Committee for Legislation voted down a bill by MK Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz) that would have buses run on Saturdays.
Likud and Bayit Yehudi ministers voted against the bill, Yesh Atid voted in favor, and Yisrael Beytenu and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni abstained.
