Islamist rivals of ISIS capture Syrian town of Idlib

Syrian opposition sources report that the Islamist alliance which opposes ISIS has captured the north Syrian town of Idlib near the Turkish border. The alliance, which includes the Nusra Front, the Ahrar al-Sham movement and Jund al-Aqsa, closed in on the city from several sides Saturday. The US military meanwhile reported air strikes near the northern Syrian town of Kubani Saturday, destroying three Islamic State vehicles and two anti-aircraft machine guns.
